We are excited to announce our new app! This app has been designed so the you can create a drink order and pay for it all in one area. you first begin by selecting a beverage and choose a selection of our ingredients. This will allow us to craft your beverages in a more orderly and efficient way. We will also implement a way to schedule times for video games. It will allow you to plan ahead in your day so that you can have an ample amount of game time.

Alright so if you guys are a hardcore Pokemon player like the rest of we are holding a alpha sapphire and omega ruby tournament on May 14th. It is five dollars to play in the tournament. We have a list posted in the store of all of the illegal megas and moves that you can not use that will be cause for immediate disqualification. The first place winner will earn a copy of the new sun and moon games that will come out in September. second place will receive a shiny mew, and 3rd place will receive a 20 gift certificate at Jake's. first place will also receive both third and second prizes.

The Almighty Push

With the new set fast approaching, magic fans are steering with excitement. This new set is supposed work very well for mono colored decks, which will leave for some interesting play form our multi color runners. We are excited to announce that we are going to be introducing the new tournament, "The Almighty Push". In this tournament you will be assigned a randomized deck that we create, you will know nothing about this deck and you will have to play it in tournament rules and settings, All of the decks that are being made by our top strategists are being made equally so that everyone will have a fair fight I the tournament. This tournament is meant for more experienced players in the fact that you need to quickly adapt on how the deck is played as you uncover new and outstanding cards. The tournament will be held on the fifteenth of May.

As spring is upon us so our selection of spring beverages. By popular demand we have brought back the strawberry matcha latte! This beverage arrives when flowers are about to bloom. It is a refreshing beverage that has a mix of sweet strawberry and smooth matcha. you can either get this drink hot our iced, but it is a fan favorite when it is iced. We also are bringing a new beverage to the stage, the orange passion pomy! This a mixture of fresh squeezed orange juice with a hint of pomegranate mixed with passion ice tea. This tart beverage is perfect for the upcoming days of warmth.

The Kings List

Alright folks it is that time again, the new kings have been announced. As you already know the kings are awarded special privileges, for example King's Paradise. King's Paradise is a place where the kings may gather to rejoice in there sheer greatness. This next month the kings are as follows: The reigning king of super smash bros is Jacoby Mattot with his flawless Luigi play. Next up is our Mortal Combat superstar is Arron Suggs. Drifting to the top our Mario Cart bracket is Trenton Leonard with his famed driving skills. The dance demon that he is RJ Cheek still holds the top score in Just Dance. Our only lady king Jessica Strong has dominated the Naruto Ninja Storm 4 scene. All of these are the kings of April, and will hold there titles as longs as they accept the kings challenge. At the end of the month if they have not received any challenges they will be tested for there title again in the Kings Tournament.

Other exciting new at Jake's is that we have finished our first commercial, we here feel that the commercial really supports us as a company. It was a great time working on the commercial and it was fun to see how much goes into one commercial! The Engulfing Madness

Arkham Horror

We are going mad for March! Here at JBJG March Madness is upon us. There are only two ways that we know how to combat this madness, the first one is to hold an NBA 2K tournament to see who is the best virtual baller around. The tournament will feature two aspects, the first is creating brackets. Players and non players are welcome to this, once all the contestants submit their bracket. The bracket that most represents how the contestants do will receive a $50 cash prize! The actual tournament is going to be held March 26th. It is fifteen dollars to enter the tournament and it is five dollars to submit a bracket, the fifteen dollars also include the bracket submission fee for the contestants.

The second way to combat March Madness is to feed the madness with Arkham Horror. We will be teaching customers how to play the table top game Arkham Horror for the rest of March for absolutely free! Our table top experts are there to teach you how to play this exciting table top game. The Basis of Arkham Horror is that you are a detective trying to seal portals to other worlds in the town of Arkham. You have to accomplish this by fighting monsters and finding clues to help seal the portals before the elder spawns and causes destruction! It is a fun game for you and friends to delve into and defend against the madness of Cthulhu.

The King Of Smash

You may have seen them around the store and you thought they were just myths, but they could not be more real. The kings, for every tournament style game we have a king, The king receives special privileges and access to the kings suite! To obtain the title of a king is simple you have to challenge the current king. To challenge a king you must pay one dollar and set a time. The king has to accept the challenge, if you beat the king you take his place upon the throne. If you beat a king in a tournament style game that is means to take over the throne.

Speaking of tournaments we have one coming up on the 19th of March called Turbo Style. It is an all night Super Smash tournament, as you progress on the bracket you drink more caffeine. By the end of the tournament the two contestants will be wired and have laser focus on the game. Of course we will monitor caffeine consumption, so that no one is hurt. The Turbo Style is a great place to play some smash and challenge the current king of smash Jacoby. If you want to hear more about Jacoby and his play style, check into our latest podcast this week.

It Is A Mystery In The Making

When we think of all of the things cause people distress in this world we are reminded that we have support from the American Red Cross Association to help in these times of crisis. And there is not much we can do, But what we can do to show our support is by donating 25 cents for every coffee bought this next two weeks. That is correct, please stop by to show your support for the Red Cross by purchasing coffee or just donating money to be able to help the less fortunate.

We will also be holding a charity drive tournament where all the proceeds of the tournament will be donated to the Red Cross. It is only five dollars to enter the tournament. Oh, but you may be wondering what game will be featured in this tournament? Well I am not going to tell you, that is correct, it is a blind tournament! It can be anything from Wii bowling to Mario Cart! Now this will not be completely blind, for we can be persuaded. With a donation to the Red Cross you can narrow down the games that we select from for the tournament. So you can participate with knowledge or complete blindness. Either way it is to support a great cause that will help many people. Oh and I guess we will provide the winner with a year pass to one of our game suites.

Now this may be all we can do, but we hope to see your support because it is you who can make it possible. But on a lighter side, we just got our newest blonde roast in that comes from Indonesia. It is a nice bright coffee that is very light on the tongue which makes for the perfect morning coffee to just bounce on your taste buds and lightly bring you back to the world of the living. And it pairs wonderfully with a cranberry orange scone to battle with accidents and bring out the bright citrus notes from the coffee.
